Your personality

•   5-10 years experience in similar role in a Tier 1 or 2 organisation
• Relevant tertiary Qualification in Operations/Production or Commerce
• Meeting  Production Targets and Quality orientated via subordinates/direct reports

Your opportunity 

•  Provides strategic and operational direction to the plant as well as central functions such as Operational performance, Prototyping, Machinery uptime, BOSle, SHE
• Responsible for the production related to a particular Business Unit technology (=unit)
• Ensures that products are produced on time, are of good quality, and meet or exceed all customer and company standards
• Enforces quality and delivery reliability 
• Enforces a strong safety and environmental culture at the manufacturing site applying the respective regulations
• Ensures that planned KPI targets are met or exceeded
• Identifies and solves problems affecting production throughput, quality, or cost performance to optimize manpower and equipment efficiency and utilizatio
• Drives continuous improvement through implementation of BOSLE principles and best practices
• Initializes the implementation of technical innovations and is responsible for the project launch
• Enforces APQP practices, and other upfront engineering activities, to ensure good launches and disciplined engineering change performance
•  Ensures that rigorous predictive and preventive maintenance practices are employed to increase efficiency and extend the useful life of capital equipment
• Maintains compliance with all corporate policies and relevant governmental regulationsSupports/ advises sales and Business Units concerning technical inquiries
• Prepares and maintain production reports and personnel training/performance records
• Allocates resources in alignment with plant director within the respective plant to ensure optimal capital utilization
• Monitors KPIs such as scrap, value add, as well as defines measures in case of deviations in alignment with plant director
• Promotes a respectful work environment and recruits, develops and retains human resources to maintain a qualified, motivated and productive workforce. Uses standard HR tools e.g. the Performance process to provide regular feedback and agree upon tasks and goals with respective employees.
