    HR Manager – Umhlanga

    Purpose of the Role:

    • General oversight of HR Operations at our South African, Lesotho, Zambian and Botswana sites (approx. 650 employees and 4 HR Officers).
    • IR and ER Management for the Group (including Conduct Management, Grievance Oversight and Labour Dispute Resolution).
    • Bargaining/Negotiation Process Management.
    • CCMA and Labour Department/Court Representation Coordination.
    • Implementation of HR Compliance framework across the Group with robust auditing cycles in place.
    • Analysis and Management Reporting.
    • Project management of various HR projects from time to time, for example current time and attendance roll out.
    • Ability to manage a team across a number of countries.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Labour and employment law with the capacity to upskill self on international labour law in the countries in which IFS operates (Mozambique, Lesotho, Zambia, DRC, Botswana)
    • Working knowledge of Sage 300
    • Reading and interpreting legal documents and policy (legal document) formulation
    • Strong verbal and written communication
    • Computer literacy (Word, Excel and PowerPoint intermediate level)
    • Report writing
    • Data analysis
    • Negotiation

    Required Knowledge and Qualifications:

    • Relevant undergraduate degree (preferably a Law degree).
    • 8 years relevant experience within a HR function with a focus on the IR requirements, at least 3 of which should include engagement at a Senior Management level.
    • Direct and hands on experience with union negotiation and labour mediation and arbitration
    • Working knowledge of African Labour Law and experience with any African country is advantageous.
    • Prepared to travel to sites on a regular basis.

    Head of Quality and Safety – Umhlanga

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Establish, maintain and revise the quality management and safety systems and protocol framework for the Group and drive their implementation and the achievement of related Business targets.
    • Participate in the formulation and implementation of the Group strategy, ensuring that quality and safety management are properly profiled and applied across the Business.
    • Coordinate, plan and drive the implementation of safety programmes to maintain occupational, food and environmental safety standards across all sites at all times.
    • Lead and oversee the planning and execution of quality and safety accreditation audits, ensuring that the Group maintains and expands its ISO and related standards accreditation.
    • Lead and participate in continual improvement projects for management systems across the Group.
    • Oversee all corrective actions for non-conformance and ensure they are effectively closed out.
    • Drive campaigns across the Business on key topics and monitor impact.
    • Oversee the monitoring and learning from incidents and ensure that trends are identified and addressed.
    • Ensure the Group exceeds quality and safety standards as set out in all international, national, client and internal guidelines and SOPs

    Required Knowledge and Qualifications:

    • 10 to 15 years relevant experience at a senior management or executive level with demonstrable achievement of the above KRAs.
    • Be willing to travel extensively to all sites.
    • Have a relevant Safety related qualification.
