    Account Manager

    Job description

    Role Purpose:

    The core purpose of the Senior Account Manager is to:

    • Lead the client relationship within the servicing team, working together with all other team members to deliver innovative media strategies and plans to our clients.
    • Account Management, Media Strategy and Implementation.
    • Develop strong relationships with key clients.
    • Develop strong relationships with other team members within Carat, the broader DAN group and other client agencies.
    • Lead and manage key client projects.

    Key Accountabilities

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Key Tasks
    • Development of media strategies and plan how to implement these via briefings to all relevant parties group specialists and media owners.
    • Form relationships with the key clients and media owners.
    • Manage and run internal financial controls including media owner spends forecasts and revenue tracking for your team.
    • Coordination of client and ad-hoc requests.
    • Preparation / coordination of relevant reporting and status reports.
    • Preparation / coordination of post campaign analysis of activities.
    • Understand fee structures and commercial terms for media used in client contract.

    KPI’s outlined as follows:

    • External Relationship Management
    • Connect credibly with client’s where necessary:
      • Rapid and relevant response to queries.
      • Proactive communication keeping clients up to date on key information eg deadlines, query feedback.
      • Collaborate with partner agencies making sure they are up to date on implementation plans and responding to queries and questions e.g. media plan start dates/creative assets required.
      • Delivery Excellence
      • Deliver outstanding client service.
      • Have a clear understanding of the communications planning process.
      • Understand the brand and business objectives
    • Implement efficient admin processes:
      • Own key account processes.
      • Timely management of internal admin processes.
      • Management of all key deadlines
      • Be a key go-to person for any queries relating to your portfolio.
    • Digital
      • Demonstrate a clear understanding of where digital fits into the overall ecosystem and deliver fully integrated strategies and plans across on and offline media.
      • Show continued improvement in digital to traditional spend ratio.
      • Take responsibility for your own skills and capability in the Digital arena, and up-skill to the required standard through training initiatives.
    • Mobilisation
      • Take personal responsibility for own development and learning and personal objectives proactively seeking out new learning opportunities.
      • Understand and ‘live’ Carat values and behaviours supporting team to work as ‘One Carat’.
      • Maintain and develop positive relationships across own team, Carat and DAN SA/SSA and clients and partner agencies.
      • Attend all relevant training and actively use learning to drive performance in role. Seek out new relevant training and sources of knowledge.
