    Creative Director

    Job description

    Direct Reports: Copywriters, Art Directors

    Purpose of the role:

    Responsible for managing and guiding a creative team. Approves the ideas and concepts that go forward to the client. Makes quick decisions under tight deadlines.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Day to day responsibilities:

    • Present work internally and externally in a clear and professional manner
    • Manage creative output of the department to ensure consistency and quality of work delivered
    • Encourage teams to be proactive and to think beyond the job.
    • Manage the scheduling of work through the agency efficiently so as to maximise the resource you have
    • Prioritise the work load within the department to ensure teams demands are met and managed
    • Develop the creative department to anticipate and reflect the changing needs of the Lead Employer and its clients
    • Lead the accurate recording of work time for yourself and the team
    • Communicate business goals to the team and identify and articulate the creative contribution to these goals to the management team
    • Be involved in the setting of objectives for the department and the managing of budgets

    Client Service

    • Work closely with relevant senior manager and account teams, ensuring effective communication and management of teams’ expectations
    • Work with account teams to understand the clients’ brand and manage projects in a way that will support the delivery of the brand
    • Actively encourage and facilitate collaboration within the team and other departments within the agency.
    • To develop the client relationship to support the delivery of the creative work

    Leadership

    • Disseminate learning through your creative teams and coach team members
    • Develop skills and knowledge within yourself and your team through on the job development, active participation in the agency and department
    • Provide feedback to the management team regarding improvements that could be made to the department and agency
    • Create clear Joe Grow Goals for yourself and your team and set out to achieve these
    • Actively support and involve team members at the appropriate time to resolve issues
    • Has encouraged all members to look for collaborative ways to make the Lead Employer a great place to work

    Minimum Requirements:

    Qualifications:
    Minimum years experience:

    • The ability to write comprehensive and insightful briefs
    • A sound knowledge of the relevant structures and processes in the agency
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Confident communication skills

    Computer literacy: All Microsoft products, example:

    • MS Word

    • MS PowerPoint
    • MS Outlook
    • Chase
