We currently have an opportunity for Executive Assistant (m/f) at our Sub-Saharan Africa Headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Job Responsibilities
Overall Administrative Responsibilities:
- Anticipating the needs and taking appropriate action to effectively manage daily responsibilities
- Plan and schedule meetings and coordinate agendas utilizing in depth knowledge of scheduling software
- Independently work on special projects as the Leader assigns them
- Analyze data, compile and distribute reports
- Perform general office duties
- Serve as computer database manager for department

- Quickly understand the Company, the role, responsibilities & priorities of the Regional Leader
- The ability to organize the Regional Leader’s agenda around these roles, responsibilities & priorities
- Be able to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization
- Be highly organized, efficient & effective
- Be a highly effective communicator and very skilled at both verbal and written communication (including presentations)
- Be assertive but respectful towards all parties and effective at collaboration with all members of the Dow team
- Have an energetic and positive outlook
- Have a flexible attitude to work hours and after-hours work
Minimum Educational Qualifications
- Diploma in Business Administration and/or Executive Assistant/Secretary.
- Fully fluent in English
- Additional languages will be an advantage
Minimum Skills Required
- Excellent computer knowledge of all Microsoft applications
- Excellent communications & interaction skills
- Able to work for a number of different Leaders simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with or without management direction
- Valid Driver’s License & own vehicle
