We are currently looking for a Security Engineer (L3) to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives. As an Security Engineer (L3) at Dimension Data, you will live the DD Values and be tasked with deploying, configuring and supporting a host of Security technologies: Firewall/IPS/AMP/Proxy/Identity Services Engine, day to day operational ownership of our customers’ environments, ensuring that systems are all proactively monitored, supported and optimised with the client at the centre of what you do. You will operate in a mature fashion, with pride of ownership and a work mantra that earns respect. What we expect you to do - You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, trouble-shooting and supporting various technologies, amongst these: Check Point, Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, Fortigate, RSA, Palo Alto, BlueCoat, McAfee, etc. however the key strengths we are looking for are to be proven with considerable experience with Blue Coat and Cisco ISE - You will be writing, providing and presenting reports to clients based on specific requirements - An aptitude for consulting based on best practise and client specific solutions optimisation is required - You will be required to liaise with vendors, and know the approach to highlight, track, escalate and resolve issues - You will be required to maintain systems and execute scheduled tasks, and in addition, mentor and train customer employees to allow them to manage their environment better. - Continuous improvement in the processes and methodologies used to manage and deploy new technologies will be critical to your role - You will manage your tasks to the point of execution with escalation by exception

    What you'll be doing

    In this position you will be required to:

    • Provide a service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational through proactively identifying, investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems and to restore service to clients by managing incidents to resolution.
    • Ensure zero missed service level agreement conditions.
    • Ensure that assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested and operational.
    • Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur, and log all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail with all the necessary.
    • Investigate assigned third line support calls and identify the root cause of incidents and problems, and ensure the efficient and comprehensive resolution of incidents, events, problems and requests.
    • Ensure the preparation of assets and tools for new users (employees) by installing software and hardware to computers and assist with the configuration of devices for users who choose to bring their own devices to work.
    • Responsible for receiving calls and incidents at the services desk, and assist in analysing, assigning and escalating the support calls.
    • Work shifts and must follow the required handover procedures for shift changes to ensure service continuity.

    Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job: 

    • Essential: Pride of ownership
    • Essential: Specialized Security and Networking experience of at least 6 years - Technologies: Cisco ASA, ISE and Checkpoint
    • CCNP Security
    • Certifications in Cisco ISE, Blue Coat Advanced Troubleshooting
    • Own vehicle and drivers licence essential
    • Excellent communication skills in English.
    • Communicates with competence, fluent both in verbal or written form.
