    Financial Analyst

    Job description

    The Financial Analyst is required to perform Financial Analysis & Reporting activities for the Ford Motor Company Vehicle Operations. This includes reporting, management reporting and analysis in-line with the FPS (Ford Production System) to ensure Best In Class guidance Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills are required.

    Position Details:

     

    • Support and advise all operational areas with regards to financial KPI’s (plan KPI’s, analyze target deviations),
    • Support annual Budget and BOD process.
    • Interpret and explain key physical drivers to absolute costs and variances and identifying improvements.
    • Weekly & monthly review of Cost results and metrics with all area managers supported with cost analysis that will support continues improvements
    • Support all audit engagements and ensure the timely completion thereof
    • Support the Ford Production System Requirements :
    • Complete Weekly/Daily Cost Reports and review with area leads
    • Analyze actual costs and be able to explain variances to budget/forecast
    • Submitting weekly overtime approval request and monitor & report vs actuals
    • Headcount & Hours per vehicle report out vs targets to all areas  
    • Complete monthly Production operational reviews– Finance and Manufacturing scorecards  
    • Support month end process, forecast submissions and reporting
    • Support ad hoc investigations and analysis

     

    Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

     

    • Good communication and listening skills
    • Self-starter and team player
    • Good command of key IT tools, particularly MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Should have good analytical, numerical and research skills.
    • Attention to detail
    • Be able to present to senior management
    • Be able to work under pressure
    • Ensure deadlines are met
    • Proficient in English language
    • Capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment

     

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Manufacturing Finance environment
    • B.Com Accounting or B-tech Accounting
