    ROLE MISSION STATEMENT

    Kantar Country HR Services team is seeking a Human Resource Business Partner to join its team based in Johannesburg who will be reporting to the Sub-Saharan HRBP Lead. The incumbent will lead the South African HR team in order to deliver on the South African Brands’ visions.

    KEY OUTCOMES

    • The HRBP is the enabler on people matters. Working closely with the Brand/Function HRD(s)/ Finance BPs/business stakeholders, the HRBP contributes to people strategies by providing analytics & insights to translate commercial challenges into people solutions
    • Through collaboration with the HRDs, Centres of Expertise & broader CHRS team, the HRBP facilitates cyclical activities as well as Brand/country specific people programmes by consulting, challenging & coaching level appropriate management teams
    • Strategy and Planning Strategic Partner and Operations Manager working with the Brand HRDs to build the Brand strategy as a Brand leadership member. Supports the business case with key financial and HR metrics playing an integral part as a member of EXCO within the brands.
    • Talent & Capability building ability to apply workforce planning knowledge, engagement strategies and succession management
    • Organisation & change – redesigning structures around strategic objectives in collaboration with Brand HRDs/Finance. Building organisational change capability
    • Employee Relations & Engagement – Kantar Employee Satisfaction survey planning & delivery with Brands & more
    • Learning and Development specify capability gaps, facilitate workshops, assessments/coaching & measure learning impact with support of L&L CoE
    • Performance and Reward drive & facilitate reward cycles in collaboration with the Reward CoE team, delivery of the cyclical performance activity
    • Be confident in representing people issues at SA EXCOs, defining strategy and working in close partnership with the team on implementation
    • Provide mentoring support & direct guidance to the South Africa HR team members
    • You will define and deliver a best in class employee value proposition to our teams across South Africa & support the diversity agenda in country
    • Exceptional stakeholder management continuously ensuring the right people are consulted, informed and held accountable for quality delivery

    CAPABILITIES

    • Must have an HR qualification (Honours degree or MA HRM/MBA and CIPD qualified candidates would be advantageous)
    • Must have a minimum at least 7-10 years’ experience having previously operated in complex, matrix environment. Industry related experience would be advantageous
    • Must have a solid working knowledge & experience of the South African Labour Law incl
    • Experience in implementation of EE & Workplace skills plans
    • Previous liaison with SETA's regarding skills development would be advantageous
    • Previous experience of working in an ‘Ulrich’ model working collaboratively with COEs and centralised Operations teams
    • Must be willing to travel in South Africa across office locations
    • Exceptional stakeholder management continuously ensuring the right people are consulted, informed and held accountable for quality delivery
    • The ability to identify and motivate the very best talent, you will work with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure that we bring exceptional people into the business.
    • Customer focused ability to work independently and drive results, effective communication skills and must have a strategic mind-set.
