    Analytics Director

    Job description
    The role

    The Analytics Director will play a key role in building the analytics capabilities in the Agency. As a global agency, Jellyfish has multiple analytics teams across the globe. This is a senior position in the team where you will be involved in all aspects of the business. An important part of the role will be helping build & mentor the team in your regional office, and ensuring they progress effectively within the agency. You will also play a key part in pitching and creating proposals, delivering client projects to an excellent standard and ensuring any work delivered by the team is of high quality. There will be high involvement with creating promotional and marketing activity (blogs, thought-leadership pieces, web-content, etc.) and delivering analytics training courses on related analytics services (Google Analytics & GTM predominantly).

    This role requires in depth technical analytics skills, data insight and analytical skills also an advantage. All analytics tools are supported by the agency but specialist knowledge of Google Analytics 360 Suite and the other Google 360 Suite products (or equivalent Google Analytics Premium experience) would be an advantage. Previous experience with Adobe products would also be beneficial. You will need to have extremely broad technical analytics skills & be able to keep on top of the latest product updates and innovations. You will be responsible for the smooth operation of the team as it develops, including day to day management of the personnel and to work closely with the department head to ensure KPI’s are met. This will include provision of regular information requested including forecasts, plans, time sheets, strategy documents and other management reports.

    Responsibilities 

    • Takes a lead role in helping develop the agency analytics function.
    • Provides management information to the department head.
    • Works collaboratively with the other regional teams to ensure resources are effectively shared and overall Analytics & Optimization team utilization & revenue targets are met.
    • Ensures the methods, techniques and services offered by Jellyfish are continuously improving and keeping pace with industry advancements.
    • Responsible for client satisfaction and NPS scores for Analytics clients.
    • Has a fluent understanding of Google Analytics Premium / 360 Suite, the key benefits and how to leverage the Google stack to the greatest advantage of clients.
    • Is able to use data to spot opportunities for the business to cross-sell other services (especially those running off the Google stack), including conversion optimization, PPC, display, attribution, etc.
    • Assists business development with creating and maintaining contracts and agreements.
    • Through the delivery of great service, retains existing clients to generate increased revenue year-on-year.
    • Delivers all projects (including those of team) on time and on budget, and is able to keep track of project progress, raise alarm, etc. when either may not be achieved
    • Ability to troubleshoot and spot technical issues with existing analytics implementations.
    • Is able to define an implementation roadmap and define clear KPIs for an analytics / optimization strategy.
    • Comfortable tackling issues with performance within the team and taking effective measures to remedy them.
    • Assist with the recruitment of staff members to facilitate departmental growth.
    • Create and present tailored pitches to prospects to win additional analytics contracts
    • Manage the team’s logging of time to ensure clients are billed consistently
    • QA website analytics on new sites to ensure tracking requirements are fulfilled.
    • Providing both quantitative and qualitative based data analysis
    • Takes the lead providing analytics training for clients and helps develop new high quality trainers for analytics training.
    • Inputs into relevant training content so it’s kept up-to-date and reflects our position as a market leading analytics provider.
    • Provides management reporting to department head when requested and in a timely manner.
    • Continues to grow regional team whilst retaining an overall A&O team approach and mentality.
