    Brand and Communications Specialist

    Job description

    Role Purpose

    The Brand and communication specialist is responsible for leading and executing the brand and communications strategy by continually enhancing Bidvest Facilities Management’s various brand images; increasing brand awareness, ensuring efficient and appropriate advertising exposure, developing the appropriate social media strategy and campaigns, managing and performing all internal and external communications initiatives.

    Main Outputs

    • Primary responsibility for the implementation of Bidvest Facilities Management brand and communication strategies. That activity is consistent with agreed strategy and aligned to organisational objectives, image and positioning goals.
    • Ensure brand and communication activity is developed and managed with the audience in mind and the Company’s values, strategic objectives and customer relationship strategy.
    • On-going measuring of brand and communication activity to improve results and maximise the return to the company. Ensuring that the appropriate and relevant information is gathered and shared in a timely manner to aide organisational decision-making.
    • Ability to achieve defined objectives through explicit KPIs agreed with Sales and Marketing leadership. Able to adopt the agreed vision and mission of the organisation to ensure outputs are consistent with organisational strategy. Will proactively develop capability through an agreed development plan which includes on the job training and external learning in the form of coaching, participation on project teams and use of best practice principles.
    • Take ownership and maintain of the company’s corporate identity manual and ensure that it is directives and guidelines always adhered by the company and its representatives.
    • Supporting the Sales and Marketing team and group Exco with all their desktop publishing requirements including but not limited to customer proposals and presentations.
    • Management of the brand and communications budget to ensure that it is implemented on the appropriate initiatives and within its parameters.
    • Provide a report on a monthly and quarterly basis of Brand and Communications activities and initiatives.

    Qualifications and Skills

    The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Communications and/or Marketing
    • Expertise in the desktop publishing space
    • Driver’s license
    • Understanding of marketing principles specific to the functions of communication, brand and media including social media
    • Ability to see wider organisational implications of brand and communications activity
    • Effective engagement with third party agencies, customer relationships and internal / external stakeholders
    • Good knowledge of standard Microsoft, specifically Word and PowerPoint, intranet, internet and social media applications and software
    • Solid knowledge of Business Development, market trends and best practices within the Marketing/Sales environment
    • Solid commercial awareness and Change Management process
    • Minimum5 Years’ experience in the Brand and Communications arena
    • Excellent Project Management & Time Management skills
    • Excellent administration skills

    Salary Range

    R 400K - R500K TCTC per annum
