Job description

BVi Consulting Engineers is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced civil engineering technician for its Pretoria office.

Min Requirements

Minimum of 2 year’s experience using Civil3D. Short listed candidates will be tested on their Civils3D proficiency

Additional Requirements

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Keen interest in civil engineering (bulk earthworks, stormwater, roads, bulk water pipelines, water & sewer reticulation)
• A good comprehension and aptitude for visualising 3 dimensional objects
• Willingness and ability to work in a team environment and independently at times
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to work under pressure
• Willingness and ability to learn
• Experience in the mining and industrial sector will be advantageous
• Technical drawing as a subject in Gr12 will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and Technologists in various aspects of civil engineering in the mining and industrial engineering environment
• Preparation of drawings and details
• Design, modelling and preparation of drawings for:

• Bulk earthworks,
• Stormwater Reticulation
• Roads
• Bulk water pipelines
• Water & sewer reticulation systems
