Dynamics AX System Administrator at MiX Telematics

Job description

We are searching for a Dynamics AX System Administrator tbe an active source of support and knowledge of our Financial ERP system. This is an internal facing role working with various finance staff in different global locations, tresponsibly and efficiently provide the necessary service and solutions associated with administering and maintaining the AX ERP system. This position may require travel from time ttime, particularly initially. This position will be based in Stellenbosch.

The successful candidate will be expected tperform on the following basis:

• Support ERP user community in countries across the globe for all MIX regional offices
• Use MiX Assist (SysAid) request and response tracking tool
• Apply approved configuration changes tthe ERP system
• Apply and maintain ERP Security roles and profiles
• Create and update training materials, and provide functional training and support for ERP users
• Maintain library of training materials
• Maintain documentation of configurations and changes
• Monitor data flows between Business and Finance systems
• Understand scheduling and priority items, and respond with appropriate action when data flows fail
• Ensure data consistency across associated systems
• Identify issues, recognise risks and communicate tproject team and business partner
• Define, design and run regular and ad-hoc reports/queries for Business and Finance teams
• Use available tools tempower users trun established reports/queries
• Analyze and define business/finance requirements
• Identify and document gaps between Accounting and Finance processes and business processes. Assist with process redesign activities
• Work on continuous enhancement of ERP systems and processes
• Interact with users and management tidentify enhancement needs and work with project team timplement
• Review specifications for new functionalities and upgrades
• Advise on impact of systems changes/alterations and advise accordingly
• Interact with software vendors regarding implementation and/or issue

Qualifications & Work Experience Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma with 3 to 5 years related experience
• Strong knowledge /skills in accounting and finance business practices would be advantageous
• Sound experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft AX or GP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, in various office locations around the world
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able twork under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability twork independently and tcarry out assignments tcompletion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in vehicle tracking or SaaS software industry is advantageous
