    Finance Manager - Planning and Analysis

    Job description

    About the role

    Reporting to and supporting the Head of Finance RSA, this role is primarily responsible for:

    • Accurate and timely reporting of segment results,
    • Close liaison with Global Finance and Planning teams with respect to monthly variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting
    • Being responsible for the annual budgeting cycle and forecasting models
    • Local expert on finance systems

    About you

    Essential

    • You will have a relevant Degree or be a part qualified accountant with 7+ years post qualification experience;
    • You will demonstrate a track record of working for a global organisation and with demonstrated ability in adhering to tight deadlines and working under pressure.
    • Strong organisation skills, ability to manage own time and work independently
    • Good understanding of key revenue and cost drivers of the Group;
    • Ability to demonstrate highest levels of ownership on accountabilities, with uncompromising standards.
    • Willingness to challenge and question existing practices and processes to confirm ongoing relevance or suitable weighting of time and effort.
    • Attention to detail and capable of combining different items of information to identify problem/solution
    • Able to illustrate well-developed problem solving skills
    • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft products, particularly Excel as well as established accounting packages.
    • A professional demeanour including excellent communication skills

    Desired

    • Experience in EPICOR (accounting package) an advantage.
    • Corporate experience in a global organisation of some substance/ scale/ complexity.

    What you’ll bring to the team

    • Lead the team of finance managers, financial accountants and clerks in being an effective business partner for both local and global stakeholders. This will include the following:
    • Inspiring leadership of direct reports and staff development
    • Consolidated monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting and commentary - local and Australia
    • Provide insights into key drivers of performance
    • Provide reports to Group Financial Planning and Analysis Team as required
    • Finance system administration – Epicor & other finance systems
    • Maintain RSA cost allocation model with Group guidance.
    • Development of management accounting reports
    • Preparation of presentations, monthly, quarterly and at budget/ strategy cycles
    • Providing useful management information to the business to allow appropriate decision making
    • Assisting the business to understand their costs and cost containment
    • Involvement in cost reduction projects and detailed analysis of costing and headcount.
    • Involvement in Finance Improvement projects
    • Working closely with the Finance Revenue Manager and Finance Manager GL and Payments
    • Assisting with month-end closing where required and other tasks in the Finance Department
    • Working with large volumes of data
    • Adhoc duties as required
