    HR Manager

    Job description

    Overview:

    An exciting opportunity has become available for a Human Resource Manager to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based in Roodepoort, JHB and will report to the HR Executive.

    Purpose and Objectives:

    Job Purpose

    To ensure that a high standard of HR services and initiatives are delivered to enable relevant areas to meet current and future growth needs.

    Job Objectives

    • To proactively and consistently deliver the Clicks Group people strategies & operating plans in tandem with the Group's initiatives of attracting & retaining scarce skills; and training and development plans to meet business needs
    • To lead the HR team in delivering a consistently high level of HR business partnering service
    • To achieve the set HR scorecard targets, measuring qualitative and quantitative delivery of all HR services and initiatives
    • To represent HR in Exco meetings, preparing and tracking of the HR scorecard and driving delivery thereof
    • To attend all Functional Area Business Reviews in order to assist and track employment cost
    • To innovatively manage people costs with a view to optimum efficiency and productivity, whilst driving a high performance culture
    • To ensure the consistent application of all HR policies and processes
    • Ensure delivery of the Clicks BU HR calendar and manage the daily/ weekly/ quarterly/ annual timelines
    • To drive delivery on transformation targets in order to retain level 5 contributor status
    • To produce quality HR reports in line with agreed HR service levels
    • To ensure proficiency in administrative management and techniques
    • To oversee employee wellness initiatives and projects.

    Requirements:

    Experience and Education

    • Essential: 3 - 5 years' relevant experience, in a similar role (i.e. HR Management in a retail or pharmaceutical environment)
    • Essential: B Degree in HR or Business related
