    Planning, Performance and Measurement Analyst

    Job description

    Job Purpose:

    To provide financial management support and enhance line management financial decision making

    Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Drive financial value through business partnering
    • Manage functional financial planning process
    • Manage cost allocation through budgets
    • Participate in teams
    • Monthly reporting preparation, control, presentation and submission
    • Provision of decision-making information to Line Management
    • Assisting Line Managers with the development and implementation of control systems and procedures
    • Budget and forecasting preparation, control, presentation and submission
    • Track and control Assets together with the centralised assets team
    • Perform ICE audits
      • SARBOX compliance
      • Enhance commercial competence with Line
      • Drive Financial Value Through Business Partnering
      • Ensure internal controls maintained and opportunities for optimisation identified and actioned with support of IFC.
      • Liaison with internal and external audit to resolve queries.
      • General - Monthly, PF, Budgets and Year-end tax & Excise.
    • Fixed assets:
      • Completes Physical verification of assets according to the plan received from Beer Fixed assets.
      • Product Costing:
      • Analyse and close weekly process orders. (Also a month end activity).
      • Investigate and resolve issues on weekly process orders with escalation to DPR controller.
      • Submit weekly/monthly reports to the VOPS PPM Manager using BW/BOA.
    • Month-end:
      • Create upload template of journals to be processed and send to Genpact.
      • Prepare month end commentary and submit to the VOPS PPM.
      • Prepare the monthly excise return.
      • Attend the quarterly count as well as hard close and year end in line with CSA and Sarbox requirements
      • Obtain the month end stock sheets and reconcile stock sheet to MM then submit to VOPS PPM for review (Compile the stock pack)
      • Send all intercompany recharges to Genpact
    • Innovation
      • Copy Production BOM and create Costing BOM.
      • Create PCE
      • Support the innovation team with info/calculations as requested.
      • Line Support
      • Spend time engaging with Line, to improve Finance understanding of the business, including cost and value drivers;
      • Review and/or finalization of additional analysis, requested by Line and to assist with effective decision-making support,
      • Analyse and Interpret the following spend categories, in order to track effectiveness of current spend and to recommend and influence future spend and/or focus areas
      • Continually focus on the improvement of Line commercial competence, by providing effective principles, guidelines and tools that will encourage self-sufficiency in Line;
      • Provide feedback to Finance Development on Optimisation, Outsourcing and Training opportunities.
      • Share and keep abreast of learning’s across other plants and regions.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Relevant 3 year Degree/Diploma
    • CA (SA) or CIMA qualification will be advantageous
    • Experience in FMCG/Management Accounting
    • SAP Knowledge will be advantageous
    • Advanced Excel knowledge and skills
    • Ability to demonstrate or build the following key behaviours:
