Key Responsibility Areas:

• Control and supervise subordinate staff to achieve section goals.
• Quote on jobs as necessary including insurance repairs.
• Audit quality checks on vehicles (Work in progress) to ensure RTQS.
• Monitor internal and outwork work flow.
• Attend to relevant staff matters such as timekeeping, discipline and monitor staff roster.
• Identify relevant internal and external training modules/courses.
• Monitor workshop budget and expenses, compile reports and explain variances.
• Verify and pass for payment all orders/invoices.
• Identify problem areas and solve where necessary.
• Make recommendations to technical management as considered necessary.
• Monitor workshop vehicles and equipment.
• Undertake special projects as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Trade Tested Artisan (Diesel or Petrol or Automotive Electrician or Construction Plant Mechanic).
• Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code EC).
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• 5 years relevant post apprenticeship experience.
• Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Road Transport Management or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• 6 years relevant post apprenticeship experience.
