    Business Risk Analyst, Associate

    Job description

    Purpose Of Role

    Provision of effective Business Risk control monitoring and reporting. Monitoring, identification, analysing and reporting of risk factors, which have an impact on the business, in line with regulatory and corporate requirements

    Core Duties

    • Collation and administration of monthly risk reporting.
    • Administration of daily risk tasks.
    • Breach administration and tracking.
    • Administration of monthly Risk Forums.
    • Co-ordination and management of Business Risk led reviews.
    • Co-ordination of reviews by internal and external auditors, where applicable.
    • Co-ordination and administration of Business Continuity requirements.
    • Co-ordination and administration of annual Risk and Control Self Assessments

    Specific Duties

    • Breach tracking, administration, analysis and reporting.
    • Assessment, analysis, monitoring and reporting of key Business Risk data (KRI’s, operational losses, breaches, etc.) for the monthly Business Risk forums.
    • Attend the monthly Business Risk forums, with secretariat duties where applicable.
    • Undertake Business Risk led reviews of business processes and controls.
    • Report and discuss the findings and action plans with control owners.
    • Track the implementation of corrective action plans.
    • Management of queries, adhoc tasks or projects that arise.
    • Raise Business Continuity and Risk awareness.
    • Assist in maintaining an accurate and in date record of all Business Continuity requirements, a functional Disaster Recovery site and an effective Incident Management process.
    • Assist in testing the effectiveness of our Recovery Strategies.
    • Development and production of management reports as needed.
    • Maintaining archives of physical material and electronic data for analysis.
    • Collaborate and liaise with UK global counterparts to improve consistency across all locations.
    • Liaise with business partners to identify potential risks, raise required alerts and fulfil internal and external reporting requirements.
    • Promote sound risk management practices with business partners in order to embed a culture of risk management throughout the business.
    • Ensure business compliance in terms of key Corporate risk controls and assessments

    Specific Skills And Experience

    • An understanding of general accounting principles, financial markets and financial instruments.
    • A good understanding of general auditing principles.
    • Knowledge of regulatory and operational risk controls, techniques and related compliance experience requirements, would be beneficial.
    • Knowledge of Business Continuity planning and standards would be beneficial

    Previous Level Of Experience

    • 2-5 years’ experience within the financial services industry, preferably in the areas of Risk Management, Compliance, Middle Office and/or Fund Accounting related services
    • Risk Assurance testing experience required
    • Business Continuity experience would be beneficial

    Level Of Education

    Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as risk, auditing, accounting, finance or equivalent professional qualification

    Other Skills

    • High analytical and numeric ability, withattention to detail
    • Problem resolution and ability to work independently essential
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff including senior management
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
    • Good organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work in a pressurized & deadline-driven environment
    • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
