    RD & A Graduate - Hillcrest (Durban)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Actively engage in the development of pro-active presentations in conjunction with the business development team
    • Execute effective presentation of these concepts to key customers
    • Provide support in driving growth in the dairy & beverage segment through application innovation using our ingredient product range
    • Provide support in formulation and execution of product development projects and demonstrate through plant trials at customer locations
    • Provide support in the formulation of ingredients for developing products like beverage fruit based or dairy based, tea and coffee and other dairy products
    • Undertake specific projects as assigned which relate to the development of new products, the performance and improvement of existing ranges or other challenges considered to be beneficial to the profitability of our business

    Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

    • Matric with Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/Technology, Chemistry or a related Applied Science (Master's Qualification will be advantageous)
    • Prior experience working in applications / development technologist / scientist roles/ internship in the Food Industry will be advantageous 
    • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply 
    • Processing technology competence is highly desirable
    • Technology experience dealing with markets in South Africa are highly desirable

    Millwright - Hammarsdale

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure planned maintenance is carried out within BOP
    • Ensure unit standards are met
    • Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities
    • Provide continuous process support to the team
    • Trouble shooting and rectify faults occurring due to failure of mechanical equipment
    • Continuously monitor the working environment responsible area and identify/report any abnormalities 
    • Plant and equipment inspection and defect reporting
    • Installation of equipment
    • Physically monitor and control the production process
    • Examine equipment and complete safety checklist
    • Report all at risk behaviors and unsafe conditions to the line manager
    • Comply to all OSH ACT requirements

    • Install electrical system components, such as lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits, timers etc,  for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities

    Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

    Essential:

    • A minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in the Food or FMCG industry
    • Matric and Trade Test
    • Artisan Minimum N3
    • Physically able
    • Take instructions / communicate in English
    • Willing to make a contribution as a member of the operations team
    • Essential services like boilers/compressors/air conditioning

    Preferred:

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the maintenance of gearboxes, conveyors, and food processing equipment
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical field

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Contract maintenance in SAP
    • Assisting with the creation of purchase orders for the acquisition of goods and services
    • Generate feedback reports to management as and when required
    • Assist in data gatering for the review of bids for services and contracts to ensure that those bids are in compliance with current procurement policies
    • Vendor management across indirect spend categories
    • Track and report performance within each spend category and define budgetary impact
    • Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws
