    Business Development Manager

    Job description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our franchise base in line with the long-term strategic objectives of the company.

    The goal is to drive sustainable growth of the business by building key customer relationships with potential franchisees and landlords.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create and apply an effective sales and marketing strategy in order to identify business opportunities and generate interest from potential clients
    • Negotiate and close deals - you will be responsible for the management of the sales and site assessment process from initial contact or enquiry through to contract completion; this Includes identifying and sourcing prospective new franchisees and sites, lease negotiation, business valuation up to and including the signing of new franchise agreements.
    • Maintenance of the pipeline and adherence to sales and assessment processes.
    • Passionately represent the brand and be able to ethically guide prospects through the enquiry and assessment process and assist with finance resolution.
    • Present monthly and yearly sales objectives with regular tracking and accurate progress reports as per company systems
    • Help manage existing franchisee relationships in line with their future business development and leasing requirements
    • Help build valuation models of existing franchises using generally accepted accounting principles
    • Work closely with the Business Development Director on strategic initiatives to achieve goals.
    • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and build awareness in respective territories for the brand.
    • Attend industry functions, such as as association events and conferences and provide feedback and information on current and future market trends

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

    • Commercial property leasing experience
    • Previous business development experience
    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
    • Lending / Finance industry experience
    • Good understanding of management accounting
    • Good understanding of commercial law particularly contracts (e.g. lease agreements, franchise agreements, etc.)
    • Understanding of franchising
    • 3 + years of proven success within Sales
    • Strong networking and influencing skills
    • Able to travel to conduct site visits and meet with prospects as necessary.
    • Must be able to speak passionately and knowledgeably about the brand and business.
    • Own transport and valid driver’s license
