Job description

Relevant Engineering/Project Management qualification or similar plus 5-8 years’ experience in construction/mining environments, Project and/or site management, Sound knowledge of Primavera and MS Project, project planning, scheduling, reporting, project management knowledge essential. Own transport, willing to travel, work on-site.

• Ensure the appropriate project plans are in place
• Present information at meetings, ensuring the project is delivered on time by reporting slippage and ensuring project costs are highlighted in order to deliver the project to budget
• Ensure programmes are kept up to date
• Inform relevant sources of changes to the programme and project plan
• Ensure customer's requirements are met as stated in contracts
• Ensure project team has up to date information on project plan

MAJOR CHALLENGES:

• Managing project planning to ensure customer satisfaction
• Proactively manage change in project scope, identify potential problems and devise contingency plans
• Difficult project deadlines
• Reporting, keeping all stakeholders informed, relationship building.
