Head of SHERQ at Powertech System Integrators

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Providing guidance to the Lines of Business in respect of Quality, Environment and Safety Management Systems;
• Providing support in defining and improving business processes;
• Managing the SHERQ team in the establishment, implementation and maintenance of:
• Quality Management System (ISO9001)
• Environmental Management System (ISO14001)
• Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS18001)
• Implementing and maintaining the company’s configurations, documentand records management systems;
• Assisting project managers to develop and implement SHERQ plans, safety files and risk assessments for all sites and projects;
• Conducting SHERQ audits and inspections for the company and its suppliers and contractors, and maintain a system of record-keeping and follow-up regarding all incidents and non-compliance events;
• Assisting in developing and ensuring compliance with Quality assurance plans (QAP) and Quality control plans (QCP) as may be required by customers.

Qualifications needed:

The successful candidate will have:

• A tertiary qualification, preferably electrical/electronic, ICT or similar, with the appropriate SHERQ qualifications and certifications;
• Sufficient experience in senior SHERQ role(s) in project management environments;
• Demonstrable knowledge, understanding and experience in the maintenance of standards and codes such as ISO 9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001.
