(812) Divisional Head: Corporate Functions - IAD at South African Reserve Bank

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Contribute to the development of the IAD’s strategy and operational plan, clearly conveying the vision and strategic goals of the SARB Group and department to the division.
• Create operational plans for the division that align with the IAD’s strategy and mandate and ensure their implementation.
• Ensure the division’s processes and resources adhere to the Institute of Internal Auditors’ (IIA) standards and audit methodology.
• Drive and manage the division’s outputs to support the IAD’s objectives.
• Represent the IAD in various SARB Group forums and committees, including the Board Audit committees.
• Identify and mitigate departmental risks, ensuring compliance with relevant governance frameworks.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of departmental procedures and systems, ensuring alignment with related functions and the organisational value chain.
• Foster and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various seniority levels.
• Oversee team performance and promote career management and development.
• Ensure continuous improvement in the division’s delivery and functioning.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

• at least an Honours degree (NQF 8) in Internal Auditing, Information System, Accounting, or Risk Management, or an equivalent qualification; and
• a Chartered Accountant (CA (SA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified in Internal Auditing (CIA) qualification; and
• a minimum of 10 to 12 years’ experience within forensic auditing environment.
