    Key Account Manager

    Job description

    Purpose for the Job

    • Customer acquisition through the Channel
    • Customer retention and maintenance of existing accounts.
    • Drive Tarsus Supply strategy as well as sell all product sets within the organization.
    • Ensure that Projects, Sales and Commitments are delivered successfully.
    • Satisfy both reseller and Tarsus margin requirements.
    • Hunting for new Business and draw in the approved resellers who are aligned with Tarsus.

    Principal duties and responsibilities

    • Ability to engage at senior executive level.
    • To represent Tarsus Technologies in selling its products range and services with the necessary supervision in an assigned territory in order to implement sales strategy and ensure client satisfaction
    • Service Delivery Monitoring
    • Business Development
    • Managing Accounts, understanding their available budgets and product requirements.
    • Managing Relationships with, Tarsus Resellers, Tarsus Reseller KAMS and product management
    • Ability to manage sales from finding the opportunity to closing the deal, including driving solution architecture and securing supplier discounts
    • Contract Management and ensuring compliance
    • Contract Monitoring
    • Costing and government tendering Processes
    • Presenting Tarsus product, supply chain and services solutions to clients
    • Develop an in depth knowledge of the market segment both from a channel and end customer perspective.
    • Encourage and produce business growth and marketing plans for each account with the relevant reseller partners in support of the sales motions inclusive of PR, advertising and promotional activities.
    • Communicate with Tarsus procurement and logistics staff to ensure availability of stock for the customer base and assist in the forecasting process.
    • Project plan new big deals with logistics and procurement staff for optimal availability.
    • Ensure that necessary certification is obtained through the various vendors’ certification programs to a level commensurate with the solutions you are providing to your customers.
    • Sell the Tarsus basket to the customer.
    • Assist in resolving customers’ business problems.

    Qualifications and Competencies required

    Qualifications

    • Minimum education qualification is Grade 12 pass – preference will be given to
    • candidates with Maths, Science, Accounting or Economics
    • Tertiary qualification will be beneficial
    • ICT qualifications and vendor certification will be beneficial
    • Internal sales experience preferred
    • Post Graduate qualifications will be advantageous.
    • Previous External sales experience essential.
    • Additional skills training in the external sales environment.
    • Previous experience in account management is essential.
    • Candidates must be proficient in MS Outlook as well as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power point on level 2 or above.
    • Own vehicle with insurance and an applicable drivers’ license.
