Loxley Partners have been mandated by a leading global investment bank to hire a Head of Equity Capital Markets for their investment banking team. The bank is one of the strongest investment banking performers in Africa and the appointment is prompted by strong revenue growth and deal pipeline. The role will be based in Johannesburg and will cover Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Equity Capital Markets team works closely with public and private companies, governments and financial sponsors to originate, structure and execute equity and equity-linked financings such as initial public offerings, follow on offerings, convertibles and derivatives.

Requirements

• Significant investment banking experience including leadership (10+ years) with an equity capital markets focus, in a top-tier environment, in Africa
• Substantial and demonstrable African deal list
• Strong involvement with full life-cycle of transaction processes
• Experience of working in an advisory capacity
• Experience of financial modelling and financial/market/pricing analysis
• Knowledge of IPO, M&A, Corporate Governance and Regulation
• Due diligence, documentation and reporting experience
• Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong quantitative and technical abilities.
