Job description

• Design, manufacture and installation of engineering systems for low cost automation
• Design, manufacture and installation of electronic/electrical control systems for mechanical systems.
• Design, manufacture and installation of advanced hydraulic systems for mechanical systems.
• Design, manufacture and installation of advanced pneumatic systems for mechanical systems.
• Analyse existing manufacturing procedures and suggest improvements.
• Identify and select materials appropriate for mechatronic system designs.
• Alliance iFA Best Practices and Club Métier benchmarking and horizontal deployment for productivity improvement
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic/electrical systems
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of hydraulic/pneumatic systems
• Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day to day operations
• Project management and Material requirements planning
• Manage inward goods, checking quantities, dispatching goods and receipting invoices
• Act as a technical adviser on key projects and other areas of the business as requested
• Develop and implement systems to record, file and store information pertaining to client enquiries
• Identify staff that require on-going training and implement training opportunities to ensure their skills are improved. Work with apprentices and semi-skilled staff to role model appropriate technical skills
• Provide feedbacks to staff that are not performing to the expected level and ensure human resources are informed of trends in performance.
• Promote a Health and Safety culture within the business
