Town Planner

Job description

Key Responsibilities
- Support in statutory and strategic planning functions in Gauteng but also in adjacent provinces
- Assist with the preparation and approval of land use applications
- Undertakes tasks to more complex technical planning and development planning application assessments
- Undertake the evaluation of non-statutory development proposals
- Assist with community and advocacy planning
Essential Requirements
- A four year Bachelor degree, or similar degree in Town & Regional Planning
- Eligible to register as a Candidate Planner
- Valid Motor Vehicle Licence
- 2 years post-graduation experience
- Computer Literacy
Preferred Requirements
- Good understanding of the following legislation:
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and stakeholder workshops
- Language proficiency in isiZulu/Tsonga/Sepedi
