Logistics Coordinator at Visual Fusion (Pty) Ltd

Job description

• Actively manage the import/export of shipments from China across Africa (door-to-door). This includes the management of all shipping bookings and scheduling, the completion of all relevant customs and import/cross-trade documentation.
• Management and control of the business supply chain in line with corporate requirements.
• Apply strict financial controls on each logistics related project that includes budget management, invoicing, import auditing and cash flow forecasts and estimates.
• Actively support sales by providing accurate quotations and shipping lead times, for local and international shipments, based on the best logistics solution pertaining to the particular project.
• Ensure that all shipments comply with the required import/export regulations (incl. incoterms).
• Accurately report and track all stock from origin to destination, including warehoused stock.
• Continuously evaluate the performance of the preferred logistics service providers against cost, quality and delivery requirements.

Requirements

• Tertiary education within the logistics / commerce faculty
• Minimum three years' experience in supply chain and logistics.
• Two to three years' experience in a project driven business.
• Expertise in import/export and logistics, including a strong understanding of incoterms.
• Procurement experience will be advantageous.
• Experience in exporting goods into Africa will be advantageous.
• Experience in project management will be advantageous.
• Supply chain and logistics best practices in a dynamic environment.
