    Graduate Supply Chain Analyst

    Job Advert Summary   

    Pick n Pay has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Supply Chain Analyst at our offices in Kenilworth, Cape Town. This role requires you to have your finger on the pulse of the business, knowing who needs what and by when. Developing forecasts for the business from sales and consumer buying patterns is what links our stores, supply chain and logistics operations into an efficient system that is the life blood of the business. Working within this complex network and data will provide you with invaluable skills and experience that will set your career on a firm footing for future success.
    Minimum Requirements    Commercial degree (B Com) with majors in either Supply Chain & Logistics, Quantitative Management or Mathematics.

    Duties & Responsibilities   

    • Provide realistic forecasts for the ordering of stock .
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate organizational effectiveness
    • Analyse consumer demand forecast to capture various trends and changes to ensure optimum on shelf availability at store level.
    • Analyse flow of stock to spot trends, make deductions and generate solutions.
    • Manage potential stock outs and surplus orders daily to ensure the correct stock levels in stores.
    • Identify and analyse demand trends to manage the replenishment process and reduce waste.
    • Analyse forecast and establish a supply plan to maintain target stock levels
    • Communicate expected stock volumes to stakeholders to enable planning.
    • Proactively monitor supply chain risks and take action to mitigate risks as well as ensuring/validating the accuracy of data used for forecasting.

    Additional Information 

    • MS Excel skills required
