    Academic Administrator

    The role of this position requires effective coordination of academic administration & student services for faculties, which includes management of student academic records, administration of student queries and serve as a liaison between students and staff. This position reports directly to the Assistant Registrar.
     

    Duties And Responsibilities
    Due to the nature and size of the organization it is not possible to provide a complete and comprehensive list of responsibilities. Responsibilities may change from time to time in consultation with the Assistant Registrar.

    Academic administration

    • Ensuring effective academic administration for the faculties as required in consultation with the Assistant Registrar.
    • Timely and accurate capturing of all marks/results before deadline.
    • Quality checking and quality assurance of all marks captured
    • Conduct internal administrative records audits for the campus.
    • Managing and resolving student queries and ensure that students are referred to the necessary academic staff where appropriate.
    • Maintaining accurate records of students’ information in line with academic and administration policies and procedures, and with integrity and confidentiality.
    • Physical filing, record-keeping and safekeeping of all academic and academic administrative documents such as academic planners.
    • Handle queries with regards to assessments and exams.
    • Provide lecturers with class lists for mark capturing.
    • Contact students, academic staff and/or parents when necessary.
    • Credit & exemption applications submissions and follow up with National Office.
    • Ensuring that accurate academic transcripts are maintained.

    Registration administration

    • Plan and prepare for enrollment
    • Identify challenges in enrollment administration and resolve them.
    • Provide students with correct and accurate academic planners.

    Graduation administration

    • Identify all students eligible for graduation per qualification
    • Compile accurate students lists for verification
    • Identify the top and Cum Laude students in each year in consultation with the Assistant Registrar.
    • Meet the deadline for submitting students verification list to National Office
    • Assist in finding a venue for graduation
    • Coordinate and administer graduation duties.
    • Assist in maintaining policies and procedures in line with the CHE framework and PIHE guidelines.

    General

    • Any other responsibilities as reasonably delegated by the Assistant Registrar.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
