    Account Manager-Building Construction

    WHAT'S THE ROLE ?

    We are looking for a high-performing and driven Account Manager for our Building Construction division . This role will look after our existing large-focus accounts – while also growing our market share . The BC Upper role will be based regionally (Gauteng) but will be responsible for building and growing our national footprint throughout South Africa with these accounts . Through this you will create sustainable business relationships with decision-makers and key-stakeholder and present the Hilti value proposition to secure business.

    WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE ?

    As an Account Manager – Building Construction , you will be responsible for growing our large-focus accounts by crafting viable and competitive strategies and action plans. Your outstanding sales, negotiating, contract and project management skills will ensure you excel in your role. Your day might be spent on-site supporting our clients in whatever product or service offering they require. Or you could be in the office liaising with key internal stakeholders and business partners.

    You will steer the sales and business development activities, defining and driving the actions which will lead to the increase of market share for Hilti. You will also identify business opportunities to allow for local application to secure profitable growth in the various product lines, while expanding the buying customer platform.

    WHAT YOU NEED IS ?

    • Completed degree in Civil Engineering or related field (preferable) but not a must
    • Min. 3 years in the sales industry, doing face to face sales
    • Solid working in a technical background – either in civil/ structural engineering or a quantity surveying background
    • Stakeholder engagement skills – across all levels
    • Long-term strategic thinking to explain and transmit the targets & strategy to customers, peers, and management
    • Self-driven and ability to work autonomously
