Job Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant who will ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial submissions.
• This pivotal role involves overseeing the preparation of financial reports prior to submission to the Financial Reporting Manager, managing operating capital, and driving excellence across the accounting function.

Responsibilities : 

• Financial reporting: Collate, prepare and interpret reports.
• Manage the accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
• Ensuring tax compliance and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Managing the audit process and ensuring financial statements are completed.
• Managing budgets, variance analysis.
• Review Store Management accounts for 17 stores.
• Review cash ups: Verify Cash banking, Mr D, Uber eats, Yumbi and Cards recons.
• Review VAT calculations and submit to FM for review.
• Accurate review of payments and timely submission throughout the month.
• Review FAR as per physical verifications.
• Overseeing store budgets.

Requirements : 

• 5 Years’ experience in a similar role.
• Sound understanding of the finance function and a hands-on approach.
• 5 years’ experience on Sage 50/ Pastel Evolution or similar system.
• Previous experience in the FMCG, Fast Food or Retail sectors.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
