Requirements:

• Three years post matric qualification (NQF6) in Accounting or Finance Computer literacy (MS Office/Financial Systems) 2 to 5 years relevant experience
• Experience in an electricity billing environment will be an added advantage Valid driver’s license Certificate in Municipal Finance Management Programme (MFMP or CPMD) will be an added advantage 

Competencies:

• Accounting and Financial reporting financial process management problem solving communication cognitive ability interpersonal skills mentoring and coaching. 

Key Performance Areas:

• Analysing revenue recording processes referring to information detailed in supporting documentation and resolving deviations from procedures
• Verifying computer system validations reports, producing applicable error reports and providing analytical reviews of reports Providing support with regards to the consolidation of Billing transactional information to facilitate the production of Financial Statements, and identification/calculation of Electricity losses
• Review of all meter readings and adjustments to be processed Preparing statistical reports depicting consumption fluctuations through the comparison with consumption and analysing various meter data reports
• Administering transaction reviews by verifying that all the procedural and policy requirements have been satisfied Maintaining and / or updating records by applying accounting formulae and procedures to capture sequences, verify and / or adjust and reconcile information Understanding Cost of Supply and Tariff Development models that drive review of annual tariffs
• Ability to identify exceptions and developing mechanisms to rectify procedures to minimise recurrence Providing supervision to subordinates in line with applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
