Accounting Supervisor - Port Elizabeth - Accounting Industry at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Accounting Supervisor to join their team in Port Elizabeth within the accounting and audit industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical proficiency in all aspects of accounting, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities:

•  Supervise and oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
•  Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards
•  Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
•  Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
•  Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
•  Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address any accountingrelated issues
•  Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures
•  Provide guidance and mentorship to team members

Requirements:

•  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
•  SAICA OR SAIPA Articles
•  Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
•  Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
•  Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•  Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
•  Attention to detail and accuracy
•  Eligible to register as AGSA or Professional Accountant is a plus
