Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas of the post.
Experience: Appropriate experience in Financial Management. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid Driver’s Licence (Code B/EB). Willingness to travel. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge and practical experience of the LOGIS System. Sound knowledge of the Basic Accounting System (BAS) and all applicable government legislation. Computer literacy (MS, Excel and Word). Sound knowledge of PFMA, National and Provincial Treasury Instructions. Good communication skills.
DUTIES :
Payments and Journal Processing (Bas and Logis). Petty Cash Management and Supplier/Creditor bank details registration. Bas debt management and asset & Liabilities account clearance and management. Batch control and financial reporting. Support to supervisor and component.
