ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: CENTRE FOR HUMANITIES AND RESEARCH
FACULTY OF ARTS AND HUMANITIES
INTERNAL ONLY
We currently seek a self-motivated, committed, competent, suitably qualified individual to join our team.
As the successful candidate, you will assist the Centre with administrative support for international events including venue hire, international travel and making travel arrangements.
Reporting to the Director, the appointee will be responsible for assisting with:
• Academic Administration;
• Reception Duties;
• Enquiry Management;
• Marketing & Recruitment;
• Meeting Administration;
• Human Resources Administration;
• General Administration includes office administration, assisting with document management, liaising with service providers, e.g. Technical Services, Audio Visual Services, etc.
Minimum Requirements
Consequently you will need:
• Matric Certificate with at least 2 years' administrative experience;
• Proficiency in computer programmes/software packages e.g. Word; Excel / MS Office Suites / Power Point; Proficiency in INFOR-LN;
Administrative experience in a Higher Education environment as well as knowledge of student administration systems would be advantageous.
Competencies required:
• Demonstrated communicative, organisational and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, and to adhere to and meet strict deadlines;
• Ability to work without supervision and to pay attention to detail.
