    Administrative Officer: Enrolment Management

    Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12) plus a Bachelor’s Degree or/ Three (3) Years National Diploma.
    • At least two (2) years of experience in basic software programming and IT related support.
    • Knowledge of ITS or PeopleSoft will be an added advantage
    • Knowledge of University Academic Programs will be an added advantage
    • Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to prioritise and coordinate the work of teams and adhere to procedure and protocol and have commitment to high quality service delivery.

    Skills

    • Knowledge of IT.
    • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML)
    • Knowledge of MS office.
    • Troubleshooting IT related problems.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
    • Good time management and coordination Skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and able to adhere to set deadlines
    • Students’ admission requirement, policies and guidelines.
    • Knowledge of University environment.
    • Ability to handle student queries.
    • Good decision making and supervisory skills.
    • Report writing skills.

    Duties and responsibilities
    The incumbent will be required to

    • Monitor, maintain and improve the online application system.
    • Monitor, maintain and improve the Application Ranking System (ARS)
    • Assist Enrolment Management Department with planning and organisation of activities in the department.
    • Ensures timeous response to queries and enquiries.
    • Assist with compiling of departmental reports
    • Assist with compiling of admission information brochures/ Prospectus.
    • Ensures that work is done in accordance with policies, procedures and practices.
    • Co-ordinate work activities and supervise staff in the section.
