A vacancy exists for the position of Administrator in the new Grasslands National Park Rhodes Maclear region of the Eastern Cape. To provide administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
The administrator will assist in general office tasks including data entry, recordkeeping, filing, and correspondence. The position will be stationed at the Nqanqarhu (Maclear) office which is situated outside the park and will report to the SANParks Park Expansion Manager. There is no accommodation offered inside the park.
Requirements
A qualification at NQF Level 5 in Administration (Finance) or Office Management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
1 to 3 years of experience in an administrative role.
A valid Code 08 (or equivalent) driver’s license.
Experience as an Assistant Accountant will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
Perform general administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, faxing, and maintaining both electronic and physical filing systems.
Facilitate the efficient procurement of goods and services required by park personnel.
Ensure accurate, complete, and timely processing of all supplier invoices.
Provide secretarial support as needed, including assisting with the preparation of
reports, presentations, and correspondence.
Manage office supplies and inventory, including ordering and stock control.
Accurately capture and process data on relevant systems.
Prepare procurement documentation in line with Supply Chain Management (SCM) policies and procedures.
Ensure that requisitions are authorized according to the delegation framework.
Support internal communication efforts by maintaining noticeboards and distributing information as required.
Maintain detailed administrative records and manage an appointments diary effectively.
