Artwork Controller at Springer Nature Group

About the Job

Macmillan Education South Africa is seeking to appoint an experienced artwork controller to be responsible for the efficient commissioning of artwork, covers and design related materials for the Macmillan Southern Africa group.

Requirements

• National Senior Certificate and related tertiary qualification.

• A working knowledge of Adobe CC and/or Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

• A working knowledge of Adobe In-Design would be advantageous.

• Proficient in Microsoft office.

• Possess excellent project management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to identify & mitigate risks, and determine the best possible solutions.

• Ability to apply technical skills and experience to meet and exceed job requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Active participation in Pre-Production Meetings to analyse requirements for program.

• Identify and commission resources required.

• Develop schedules.

• Receive, review and compare artwork briefs and references.

• Ensure artwork quality meets the prescribed requirements.

• Review & request permissions.

• Manage and maintain budgets per title.

• Identify and mitigate risks.

• Manage artwork & review process.

• Process relevant documentation.

• Archiving.
