Understands and operates the Relevant Machinery and Equipment Do various Machine Inspections and Report Writing on Machine Condition Execute Preventative Maintenance Tasks according to OEM Maintenance Schedules Execute Planned and Breakdown Maintenance activities on Client Installed Base according to Planning Schedule Installation and Commissioning of New and Refurbished Equipment, Sub-Assemblies, Spare and Wear Parts on the relevant Machines and Equipment
Requirements
Perform trade-related maintenance
Fitter will include precision and detail assembly
Ability to work from Technical Drawings and verbal instructions with minimum supervision
Translate design requirements into assembled units in the most efficient manner , applying common sense and assembly experience
Repair equipment and machinery according to maintenance standards
Strip; inspect and repair various mining related equipment such as crushers; gearboxes and materials handling equipment.
Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and Company standards
Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and Company’s SHE objectives
Work overtime, shifts, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise.
Experience of lifting and crane equipment would be ideal
Performs other duties as and when required to perform work in underground conditions and extended working hours.
