Assessment Invigilators - (6735) at Cape Peninsula University of Technology

Job Purpose

• Cape Peninsula University of Technology is looking for Assessment Invigilators for all campuses. We are passionate to serve and assist students, who are serious to build a career. • You will work as part of a team of invigilators who will ensure assessments are carried out according to the assessment regulations.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Successful candidates must ascribe to the following:

• Minimum qualification: Grade 12, Senior Certificate, NSC. Post matric qualifications will be advantageous.
• 1-2 years’ relevant experience will be advantageous.
• Excellent physical and mental state of health.
• Be able to walk in the assessment venue for four-hour session, mostly two sessions per day.
• Personal qualities and attributes should include Integrity, Accuracy, Diligence and Punctuality.
• Individuals between the ages of 20 - 64.
• No criminal record.

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Support and monitor students to ensure that there is no malpractice during assessments.
• Ensure that assessment conditions are always adhered to.
• Ensure that the integrity of the assessment is not compromised.
• Set up and prepare the assessment resources for the assessment venues.
• Be available for the duration of the assessments.
• Complete paperwork regarding the collection and return of assessment materials.
• Assist students with queries and needs in the assessment venue.
• Provide support where necessary in an emergency e.g., Sick Student, Fire Evacuation, Disruptions etc.
• Ensure that only relevant students enter the assessment venue.
• Complete a full report after each assessment session.

• Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidates
• Remuneration: Hourly rate apply.
• Successful candidates will be given a 12-month contract
