Asset Management Officer at The Department of Employment and Labour

REQUIREMENTS:    

• Three  (3)  years  relevant  tertiary  qualification  in  Public  Financial Management/Asset Management.
• One (1) year functional experience in Asset/Financial Management Services. Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of Government Procurement Policies.
• Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Management procedures.
• Specific delegation from the relevant Act. Internal policies.
• LOGIS and BAS system.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication, Interpersonal relation, Decision making, Problem solving, Presentation, Decision-making, Problem solving, Presentation, Conflict management, Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Internet.

DUTIES:    

• Verify assets and record them in the Provincial asset register.
• Execute the disposal of assets in line with the departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for acquisition of assets in province. Monitor the operational performance and maintenance of assets in the province.
