    Assets Verification Officer - Johannesburg

    Purpose of the Job

    • To identify and tag assets at retail service stations/ depots/ convenience centres and conduct physical verification and condition assessments of such assets to ensure relevant asset information is available, recorded and accurately reflected on Engen's balance sheet

    • What you’ll have done before:

    Baseline:

    • NQF level 5 (Higher Certificate in Engineering)
    • 3 years Assets Verification experience in a Petrochemical
    • Valid Driver’s License

    Advantageous:

    • NQF level 7 (Btech/Degree in Engineering)

    What you’ll be doing:

    • To undertake technical condition assessments of the assets on site and provide corrective recommendations to ensure that the plant and equipment is maintained effectively and operated in a safe and reliable condition during its remaining design life.
    • Ensure that the fixed assets are periodically verified on site and the asset information is accurately made available for update to the SAP Asset and Plant Maintenance (AM and PM) registers.
    • Asset verification program up to date
    • Facilitate the updating of all relevant registers and databases to ensure information is current and available
    • Reconcile discrepancies to ensure registers accurately reflect assets on site
    • Ensure asset condition assessments and corrective recommendations conducted
    • Track assets that have been removed from site, as appropriate, submit disposal documentation, and facilitate the scrapping of such assets to ensure asset register is accurate and reflects the assets at the sites.
