Assistant Director: Bookkeeping and Loss Control REF NO: SSC16/2026 at Department of Agriculture and Rural Development: Kwazulu-Natal

REQUIREMENTS :

• An NQF level 7 qualification in Financial Management and a valid driver’s licence.
• Experience: 3 years’ supervisory experience or 3 years’ experience at the level of an Administrative Officer in the financial management field.
• Knowledge: PFMA, Treasury Regulations, National and Provincial Treasury Instruction Notes, Division of Revenue Act, Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS, Departmental Policies and SOP’s.
• Skills: Financial Management, people management, time management, decision making, planning, organizing, conflict management, good written and verbal communication, strong leadership, innovative, creativity, problem solving, presentation, interpersonal relations, computer literacy, project management and change management. 

DUTIES :

• Administer the co-ordination of banking, suspense accounts and entity process.
• Facilitate and co-ordinate the timeous preparation for financial reporting.
• Oversee the co-ordination and maintenance of departmental loss control.
• Facilitate and co-ordinate the inter-departmental accounts.
• Manage resources of the section and provide advice, guidance and inputs to policies.
