    Assistant Director: Indigenous & Initiation School Management

    Job Purpose:

    • To facilitate provision of indigenous information and customary initiation school management services.

    Requirements:

    • Matric Certificate Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6) in Indigenous Knowledge Management studies/Anthropology/Cultural studies/African History/Socio-Cultural Anthropology/Education as recognised by SAQA
    • Minimum 3 years relevant experience as Administration Officer: Indigenous Information Management/Customary Initiation School
    • Management/Anthropologist
    • A valid driver’s license.

    Duties:

    • Monitor preservation of traditional communities’ indigenous information
    • Monitor Provision of Provincial initiation
    • Coordinating Committee secretariat support
    • Monitor administration of initiation schools database
    • Maintain exploration of complexity, nuances of human interactivity, culture and pertinent to traditional leadership.
