Assistant Director: Strategic Planning at Free State Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental

REQUIREMENTS :

• An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree as recognised by SAQA in Public Management or related field.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in strategic planning. Knowledge of the relevant prescripts and legal framework in the Public Service. Computer literacy.
• Project Management a Supervision of officials and other resources within the division. and management information system administration experience. A valid driver’s license.  

DUTIES :

• Develop, maintain and/or facilitate the successful implementation of the Department’s strategic planning policy and/or implementation strategy. Facilitate strategic planning workshops in the Department towards the development and/or review of the Department’s 5-Year Strategic Plan, 3-Year Annual Performance Plan and Annual Operational Plans in line with the provisions of Treasury Regulations and/or national and/or provincial formats. Improve the capacity of the Department on matters related to strategic and operational planning.
• Facilitate the implementation of the Departmental Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan.
• Represent the Department in national and/or provincial meetings on matters related to strategic and operational planning.
