    Assistant Manager: Demand Management Ref: AMDMNO11-23

    Purpose

    • To source and ensure that the necessary resources required to fulfil the needs identified are procured in the most cost effective and efficient manner and are in line with applicable procurement laws and regulations.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Monitoring and placing projects on the procurement plan of the organisation throughout the financial year.
    • Coordinate research activities for market analysis, estimate costs, and determine the most appropriate procurement strategy for goods and services required by the end user.
    • Develop reliable demand forecasts using available data/information.
    • Manage product integration and cost management plan.
    • Manage and provide technical support to end users during the demand management process.
    • Prepare and review bid specifications and evaluation reports to ensure compliance with SCM policy, processes and procedures, and laws and regulations.
    • Supervise and manage demand management activities.
    • Oversee daily activities of the team and provide guidance as needed.
    • Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans.
    • Develop a demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns.
    • Monitoring and managing contract management process.
    • •Delivery of projects standardisation outputs as per project requirements.
    • Develop, monitor, control, and review project cost-reduction strategies with end users.
    • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions timeously.

    • National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or other relevant qualifications.
