Day-to-day management of the company’s single biggest expense item, across all divisions;
Management of planned and actual marketing expenses against product budgets (monthly and quarterly);
Facilitating the resolution of outstanding account settlements as they relate to Marketing Costs in either Accounts Payable and or Accounts Receivable;
Oversight and management of the BQMS system;
Management of staff within the CMO Marketing Team;
Driving team KPI’s as they relate to Campaign, Plan Proposal and EO loading / approval
Facilitating financial processes so as to improve the operational efficiencie
SECONDARY PURPOSE OF JOB
Attending to weekly, monthly and ad-hoc marketing reporting / requests from CMO Finance Lead;
Management of marketing process, including early warnings and monthly KPIs;
Review and active follow up of Finance open item reports as far as it related to aged EO’s (i.e. all outstanding invoices/claims appearing on vendor statements/deducted on customer accounts that have not been processed)
Liaising with external vendors and other stakeholders, as requested by CMO Finance Lead;
Management and enforcement of internal controls and compliance with company policies as they relate to Marketing Finance
Providing regular feedback to the CMO Finance Lead on Marketing Finance related matters
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Accounting / Finance;
CA(SA) or CIMA Articles advantageous
EXPERIENCE
3+ years’ experience in a managerial role within the financial environment;
Solid accounting background;
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills;
Experience with SAP (advantage).
Knowledge of corporate budget analysis, preparing actual to budget variance analysis, and general accounting principles and procedures
