• Imported Raw Materials for LMP
• Goods and Services (Optima)
• Accounts Payable
• Scrap sales
• Base Oils
• Provide administrative support for all Base oil purchases
• Complete relevant schedules for Treasury to purchase USD
• Ensure PO’s are updated with the correct rates
• Approve base oils invoices and forward for payment
• Approve all associated invoices linked to base oil purchases (Clearing costs, Loop Line, SGS Surveyors)
• Working Capital Management
• Inventory Management
• HSEQ
• Governance

Context and environment

• Raw Material Specialist manages importing and local processes to ensure that the products are in stock and available. Works within the business' cost, quantity and quality constraints to plan the flow of supplies.
• Asset Utilization – Tanks
• Short term and long term Forecasting – 6 months, 12 months, 24 months and 36 months
• Working Capital
• Reduction in demurrages costs
• Managing exchange rates effects when purchasing

Candidate profile

• Diploma in Purchasing and Materials Management or equivalent.
• Good knowledge on importing processes and INCO terms
• At least 3 years in Procurement or Materials planning role within the oil industry.
• Working knowledge of MRP and production lead-times.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow things through.  Good business acumen

• Proven team player
• Ability to prioritize and work in tight deadlines in a high energy and fast-paced environment
• Above average computer skills in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, MS Word, Power Point
• High levels of analytical thinking
• Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills (suppliers, contractors on costs and delivery)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Working knowledge of IMS, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
• Working knowledge of purchasing and logistics functions
