Assistant Professional Officer at City of Cape Town

Requirements
A relevant BEng or BSc degree in the following disciplines:

• Electrical Engineering
• Computer Science
• Data Science
• Geographic Information Systems
• No experience required at entry level
• Computer literacy in MS Office.

Key Performance Areas
Apply theoretical knowledge and conceptual thinking, working under mentorship of a professional according to legislative requirements and accepted processes, procedures and standard practices in the following aspects:

• Engage in the development of project plans from conception to completion
• Design infrastructure to standards and norms
• Manage and control the quality assurance materials
• Manage project planning and programming of construction 
• Commission plant and equipment
• Communicate professional knowledge to internal and external clients of the Department
• Attend to correspondence and enquiries with regard to the services, systems and ongoing work of the Department
• Transact on relevant systems and applies all City of Cape Town,
• Energy Directorate, Regulatory Authorities procedures and policies when performing tasks
• Adhere to protocol, procedures and requirements.
