    Assistant Winemaker

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 and a relevant degree or diploma in winemaking
    • 2-3 years of experience in a cellar
    • Experience with SAGE
    • Experience with SAWIS administration
    • Experience with the implementation of an QMS (ISO 9001:2000) system

    DUTIES:

    • Grape Sampling and Processing
    • Assist the Winemaker with sampling of the grapes in various vineyard blocks
    • Assist Winemaker with - °B, pH, and TA
    • Evaluate grapes once arrived at cellar
    • Weigh grapes and juice grading

    Harvest Prep

    • Assist Winemaker in renting the additional equipment for harvest, such as refrigerated reefer and forklift
    • Make sure that the harvest equipment is serviced and in good condition
    • Arrange extra security during the night
    • Make sure that all the required chemicals are ordered and delivered
